Crude Oil Gains 1%; Spirit Airlines Shares Plunge

U.S. stocks traded higher midway through trading, with the Nasdaq Composite gaining more than 100 points on Friday. The Dow traded up 0.32% to 42,145.03 while the NASDAQ rose 0.76% to 18,053.79. The S&P 500 also rose, gaining, 0.45% to 5,725.76.
